Karin Blake - Minimalist Transitional Design

Today we are featuring more of the work of Malibu, California designer, Karin Blake.
I have called her work a kind of minimalist transitional design because of the simple clean, and in some cases narrow, lines and the flat slab door and drawer-fronts.
Please note that these are still face-framed cabinets with inset door and drawer-fronts.  The scaled down face-frame design element is key to the overall look of tying together the traditional with the minimalist design.

If you try to duplicate this look without the stiles and rails of the face-frame, using frame-less cabinets,  you will end up feeling very dissapointed; it will look like you got it half right.
