Contemporary Cottage by Martin Moore & Company

Martin Moore & Company have got the design very right in this contemporary thatched cottage.  An excellent example of bringing together traditional and contemporary elements to create this transitional space.  The lighting, the choice of colors, the choice of knobs and pulls; it's all right!

Classic Americana

This kitchen by designer Karin Blake, as it appeared in Architectural Digest.
Using a mix of flat slab drawer-fronts and barn-style shaker doors, this space has a classic Americana feel.

'Something's Gotta Give' Kitchen

It may be almost ten years since the movie 'Something's Gotta Give' first came out,  and many fell in love with the kitchen, but the white kitchen with black counter-tops is still popular with many of our clients.

Heritage Home Kitchen Renovation

Gray Transitional Kitchen with Open Shelving

Source: flickr.com via Michelle on Pinterest

This is a great example on how to create a transitional space by mixing traditionally built cabinets with contemporary design elements.  The face-framed cabinets with inset doors and drawer-fronts provide the traditional elements; the light fixtures, the industrial steel island, the open white upper shelves and of course the gray painted cabinets, provide the contemporary elements.  And together they all come together to a great look!

Traditional Cottage Kitchen

traditional kitchen design by burlington architect Smith & Vansant Architects PC

This seemingly simple traditional kitchen has a lot happening that may not at first catch our eye.  Although it isn't an unfitted kitchen, it almost appears as a collection of pieces, with counter-top heights changing as both the piece and the function changes.
